El próximo 20 de noviembre es el centenario del comienzo de la Revolución Mexicana. En YouTube, queremos unirnos a las celebraciones de ese aniversario con los mexicanos de todo el mundo compartiendo otra revolución que se está gestando en México ahora mismo: una revolución cultural que ha llevado a talentos del cine mexicano a ocupar un lugar destacado en los escenarios globales.
Un grupo de artistas, directores y productores de cine mexicanos se juntó para crear Revolución: una serie de 10 cortos que exploran el tema de la Revolución Mexicana un siglo después. Revolución se ha presentado en varios festivales de cine durante el último año, incluyendo el festival de Cannes, y estará en YouTube el 20 y 21 de noviembre (gracias al socio de YouTube Mubi), específicamente para México se podrá ver del 20 a las 23 Hrs hasta el 21 a las 23hrs..
Entre los talentos que participaron de la creación de Revolución están Gael García Bernal (que fue protagonista en Amores Perros, en Diarios de Motocicleta y en Mala Educación, de Pedro Almodóvar), Diego Luna (quien saltó a la fama con Y Tu Mamá También), Carlos Reygadas (quien ganó en Cannes por su película Luz Silenciosa en 2007), Rodrigo García (quien dirigió la premiada Nine Lives y fue nominado al Emmy por su dirección en un episodio de la serie de HBO Big Love) y Patricia Riggen (dirigió en 2008 La misma luna).
Como un avance del estreno de Revolución en YouTube, estamos invitando a los miembros de la comunidad a enviar sus preguntas sobre la película, sobre los artistas y directores, o sobre los eventos que inspiraron este proyecto a youtube.com/mubi. El 20 de noviembre, antes de que se pase el filme en YouTube, los cineastas responderán las preguntas más populares que hayan sido posteadas en el canal de Mubi.
